Christmas 2009

I got a new camera for Christmas so I forgot that I had taken these on the old one.  Better late than never.  Below you will find a large awkwardly wrapped gift because Michael used a lampshade to hide the Rosetta Stone Korean in, along with a beautifully folded origami heart affixed to the pretty bird earrings he got me from Scout.  I was so excited on Christmas Eve that I could barely  fall asleep.  We slept on our big chair in the living room in front of the tree.  I could sleep on the chair or sofa anytime and get a good rest but not Michael.  He’s usually really stiff when he wakes up due to his sometimes sore lower back.  Anyway, I opened my eyes at 6:30 am and gleefully asked Michael if he was “ready to do Merry Christmas!” and he unenthusiastically replied,  “uh, yeeees”.  He was still sawing logs when I asked.   What a wonderful first Christmas.
