I love celebrating Michael’s birthday. It began on Sunday when I got to make his favorite, Derby Pie. On Monday-his actual birthday- we got to have lunch together at home during my lunch break and he opened his presents. I had to go back to work but as soon as I returned we rushed to get out the door so that we could have dinner at The Irish Rover where he ordered a Scotch egg (see picture below). I don’t have the stomach to let him eat it more than once a year because a Scotch egg is a hard-boiled egg, wrapped in ground sausage, dipped in batter and deep-fried. Yikes. Good thing my darling has good cholesterol. Happy Birthday Sweet Love.
