Yesterday Amos turned six months old and everyone was right about how quickly the time would pass. It’s hard to have perspective when you are sleep deprived but I realize more and more that every week something changes with our little guy. He’s sitting up (still somewhat wobbly but will catch himself when he begins to lean), he understands the words up and when we count to three (knows that something will happen when we get to the number three -usually this means he will be standing), he tells us when he wants to touch something by raising his hand and reaching for said item, he lights up when his papa gets home from work and he’s finally sleeping from 7pm-6am (waking to nurse at 10/2). Amos’ favorite food is still peas and pumpkin is a close second. The only fruit that he likes is banana. I’m teaching him to sign so hopefully he’ll be able to communicate with us rather than get frustrated and melt down. Right now when he gets frustrated he sticks his arms straight out in front of him, hands fisted and grunts. I laugh a lot at him but respond quickly so he won’t hold his breath and remain red-faced for too long.
